What is NAMI Joplin?
NAMI-Joplin is a grassroots, non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate programs that support and service individuals and family members impacted by anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, personality, mood and behavioral disorders, and schizophrenia.
Our services include support groups, education classes, a toll-free Peer Support Warm Line and other activities provided in order to help individuals work toward wellness and recovery. NAMI-Joplin is the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, located in Joplin, Missouri.
Partners in Policy Training and Advocacy Day
March 16-17, 2020
If you would like to get involved in advocating at the state level for policies that benefit those with mental illness, we invite you to attend our annual Partners-in-Policy Training and Advocacy Day events.
This free training is primarily geared toward those with mental illness, but there are a limited number of spots available for family members, friends and allies. Applications are due by by February 14, 2020.

The Peer Support Warm Line is available Monday through Friday 9:30 am – 10:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am – 3:30 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Family to Family
Free 4-session educational program for family, significant others and friends of people with mental health conditions. It is a designated evidenced-based program. This means that research shows that the program significantly improves the coping and problem-solving abilities of the people closest to a person with a mental health condition.

Free 3-day education program for parents or caregiver of children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral difficulties. The program is taught by trained peer instructors who are also the parents or family caregivers of individuals who experienced emotional or behavioral difficulties prior to age 13.
